Around the time the rest of Q branch was clearing out to catch to Tube and find their way home before the sun set, Bond wandered in to see if Q was ready.
"They've set the implant for Thursday morning," he said. "Unless something comes up."
As he made his announcement, he picked up a new creation to inspect it.

I love you too, James," Q whispered, carefully pulling out, then slowly dragging himself off to go get them each a damp towel to wash up. Q took a moment to clean up in the bathroom, bringing back a cloth for Bond and dropping it onto the other man's chest before climbing back into bed beside him and kissing his shoulder.
"Alright?" He asked softly.

"Mmm, very," he purred.
He fluffed the pillow and sat up a bit against it, opening the covers for Q to join him.
"Are you?" he asked then, studying Q curiously.

"Better than I was," Q said as he curled up against the other man and slipped and arm around him.

Bond held him and enjoyed the silence.
"The storm has passed," he said softly. "I didn't even notice the rain..."

"Me either," Q confessed. "You really are the best distraction," he added with a smile, leaning in and kissing Bond's cheek.

"Sleep, Q. You've got work again in the morning," he said softly. "And a daytime detail. I'm on the clock, you know."
He was teasing, but it was the truth. Right now, Bond was his bodyguard.
