He'd had the idea and had made arrangements before he'd ever come to the station. Meeting Q had made him wonder if it might be a mistake, then he decided...no. No, this was perfect.

The cat was sleek and lanky, still a kitten but well done with its mother and curious about everything. Bond admired the creature, then loaded a hover-skin with a few essentials he'd also secured. Litter pan, dishes, toys.

All the cat needed was a home and Bond had no intention of it living with him.

The skid hovered beside him as he waited at Q's door, the kitten's carrier covered with a silver privacy blanket. For the moment, it was quiet. Bond wondered if the creature would announce itself before he could even present it.

Q was stunned still for a moment, then awkwardly put his plate down.

"Tell me," he said, the words a plea as much as a demand. "Tell me what I can't remember about you. Us."

For an eternity, Bond wasn't sure what to say. The truth felt strange, but it always did.

"I fell in love with you," he said.

"And I lied to them...omitted...but they changed you. They knew. By the end of the week it was obvious to me you were..."

He looked him up and down.

"Sentient."

"My code was not altered," Q assured him, wondering what made Bond think it was. If anything, it was even more improved. "Events were deleted, not code, James. ...I don't understand though, you were in love?"

"Mmm. Events," he nodded. "Do you remember the zoo? Do you remember breakfast? Do you remember my bed?"

As he asked his questions, his voice dropped- lower, softer.

"Do you remember calling me James?" he asked, his breath warm against Q's neck as he spoke near his ear. "No...because if you did, you wouldn't wonder why I love you."

Q's breath hitched slightly- Which was absurd, given he didn't breathe.

"I don't remember," he said. "I'm sorry. I wish I did. I want to."

And he didn't understand why they would take that from him. It seemed cruel.

Bond turned his head just enough to whisper against Q's ear.

"I want you to," he said, sliding his palm along Q's side. "I want you, Q."

It was so blunt, so forward- And Q was grateful for it. He liked how direct Bond was.

"I want you too," he realized. Something about that touch was familiar, intoxicating... Thrilling.

"That's where we began," he said softly. "Whatever you wanted..."

He kissed him then, remembering in detail what Q had enjoyed the most the night they'd said goodbye.

Q moaned into the kiss, holding on a little tighter. Bond's lips weren't the only ones he was remembering though. ...There was someone else. Maybe more than one. All erased.

The taste of Bond was comforting though, intoxicating...

"I can't get you out of my head," he confessed. "There's something about you..."

His hands grew bolder, searching for skin.

"My systems keep searching for you," Q admitted. "They know you, but the data is gone. Either that, or you're the first to successfully hack my system... That feels unlikely though."

"No, I'd never," he promised, moving to kiss Q's throat.

"I want you just like you are..."

Q wanted to say that he should then, he could have him- But he was waiting for the right words, the right commands. He hated that- No matter how human he felt, his code seemed to hold him back just a bit.

Bond felt no need to wait for permission. He simply took hold of Q's face and kissed him deeply.

"Bed," he said simply.

That one word was enough. A simple command. Bed. One day he wouldn't need it, he hoped. He'd learn to circumvent the need for a command prompt, he was determined.

Nodding, he caught Bond's hand with his own and guided him towards the small bedroom. It was simple, and Q didn't own much yet. The bed was standard issue, but to him it was luxury.

In the room, Bond began to undress him with hands that had the confidence that only came with familiarity. He knew how the clothes would fall, knew what he'd see beneath it all.

He took a moment to appreciate the view. A smile, and a gentle hand on Q's waist, Bond raked his eyes over him.

"You're perfect, you know," he said. "Maybe too perfect. Maybe that's why they..."

"I doubt that is why they erased events," Q said, shaking his head. "Perfection is what they strive for."

As Bond undressed him, he did feel a sort of Déjà-Vu, like the memory of a dream of the ghost of those hands. He found himself reaching out and doing the same, surprised by how little uncertainty he felt as he started to strip the other man down.

"Perhaps," he agreed, much more interested in closing the distance and holding Q's bare body to his own.

"I missed you," he confessed. "I was so excited to see you again..."

"I think I like the idea of being missed. Being remembered. Thought of," Q said.

"I think of you more than I ought to admit," he said, dragging his lips along Q's jaw.

"You consume my whole mind..."

"I wonder if you will soon take over mine," Q said, enjoying the way it felt to have Bond's lips against his skin.

Soon, Bond would be gone. Part of him wondered if, this time, Q would miss him. If he'd be allowed.

He didn't think on it too hard, though. HIs hands found the skin over Q's hips and Bond held on.

"I need you," he promised, wrapping himself around Q to taste and touch all at once.

Need, want. Yes, yes, those were the feelings.

"Want you," Q said quietly, almost shyly.

A bit unsure of himself, he tugged Bond towards the bed.

It wasn't until they laid down and Bond had him held close that he smiled a fraction.

"Do you want me?" he asked. "Every way possible?"

Q hesitated a beat, then nodded slightly.

"I think so. I think... I think I can want now. I think I want you, however I can. Every way I am able, James."
