So what is it you do, Quinton?" Alice asked as she sipped her juice.
"Oh, um- Well... I suppose I'm James' assistant," Q replied, not having expected to have to answer questions like that.
"Did you go to university?" Alice pressed. "You're very well spoken," she added with a smile.
"I was, um- I was tutored privately," Q lied.
Alice smiled at that, nodding. "Lucky you. That's good though- I mean, it means you can get a proper job one day, if you wanted."
Q nodded a bit, suddenly feeling very lost. "I- I don't see that in my future, to be honest. ...Um, what is it you do?" he asked.
Alice's smile turned sad, but only for a moment. "Well, I actually run an urban outreach program. I help people get their lives back on track and connect them with resources they need."
