Spencer Reid
Jul. 14th, 2014 07:24 pmHe'd been tailing the young agent. FBI, brilliant, broken. It was the perfect time to make his move and after spending quite a good portion of time reading up on Dr. Spencer Reid, Bond tracked him down on campus. He stood in the back of the lecture hall and when the class let out he approached the young teacher.
"Dr. Reid," he said, his tone warm and familiar, as if they'd met before. "Can I invite you to tea? I'd like to speak with you."

Are you really so concerned you and I might not be friends? I wasn't suggesting you like me. Merely that you might find a comrade. We have quite a few brilliant minds in Q Branch. Some I'm sure you'd have things in common with them," he said, lilting up as if it were half question, half suggestion.

Your help really would be invaluable," Bond pressed gently. "Certainly nothing that would hinder a return to your homeland when the time comes. I understand you joined the Behavioral Analysis unit quite young. I've seen your file, you're remarkable. You shouldn't let that talent go to waste, Dr. Reid."

"One case. I'll work on one case, but- Not tonight. I need time to- I just need some time," he said quietly.

"How can I contact you?" he asked quietly.

Date: 2014-07-16 04:03 am (UTC)Bond reached into his pocket and produced a card. It was the simplest, most unadorned card stock with nothing more than a phone number and the address of HQ printed on it. But then Bond flipped it over, produced a pen, and wrote his own number on the back. If they needed an asset groomed, he really was the man for that.
"Call me any time," he said. "And if you call the main switchboard ask for Eve Moneypenny. She'll get you sorted."

He was so nervous that he nearly tripped over his own feet, and he looked embarrassed as he awkwardly waved.
"I'll be in touch soon," he said.

Date: 2014-07-16 04:17 am (UTC)"I should hope so, Dr. Reid," Bond said, keeping his seat. He was aware of the need for escape, and for dignity. He afforded Dr. Reid both. He had the agreement that he'd come for.
