He'd laid out 10k without blinking and the rush was amazing. He'd always enjoyed flashing his money, but this was different. He'd claimed the lad, stolen him from his father, and had set him up in a new life.

And now that he'd had a taste, he wanted more.

"Eliot," Bond said, walking up on him while he was clearly busy. "Do you have a moment?"

"So you've met Luka," Bond said. A look of distaste flashed across his face, but then he took a bite and smiled.

Eliot didn't want to be stupid here. For his own sake, and for Leo's. Also, he supposed... to be fair to Luka, he hadn't done anything to him.

"Of course I have," he said mildly. "I've been in A&E."

"Avoid him," he replied. "I'd hoped to be rid of him, but somehow he's been hired on full time."

"Done," said Eliot simply.

Maybe he could get deported. But it would take drug trafficking or murder to make that happen. Luka wasn't evil, just deplorable.

"It's delicious, isn't it?" Bond shifted abruptly.

"It is," said Eliot, smiling at him. "I can't remember the last time I had a meal like this."

He'd already blown his cover with Bond, after all. "I ah, I know that a lot of people think I come from money. I let them think that. But..." He shrugged, and took a drink of wine.

"Making people believe you came from money is mostly attitude, Eliot. These sorts of things- food, wine, clothes, they are definite perks," he grinned. "If you had the money, what would you do?"

"Well first, I would just buy amazing clothes instead of spending hours and hours of my life at thrift shops and vintage stores trying to spot fucking diamonds in the rough," Eliot said. "Think how much more time I could spend studying."

"And where would you shop?" Bond asked, enjoying his meal.

Eliot smirked at him. "I don't know, Tom Ford?"

"You don't strike me as Tom Ford," Bond chuckled.

"Dream bigger, Eliot."

[eliot_thespectacular]

Eliot chuckled. "Versace, maybe. Something with a lot of brocade. Also I like jewelry. I'd be wearing diamonds on every finger if I could."

"There's a McQueen that strikes me as very you this season," he mentioned.

[eliot_thespectacular]

"Oh?' said Eliot. "Well, perhaps I'll go have a pastry in front of the store front and imagine, like Audrey Hepburn."

"What a delightful idea," he smiled, thinking he'd go in and arrange payment for Eliot. He could do that after work...

Eliot wasn't entirely sure what that meant, but he just chuckled and said, "I do look good in pearls."

"Pearls? I believe he has a few pieces this season..."

He chatted on about clothes, listening closely to Eliot's preferences. A plan began to form.

But soon the food was gone and Bond checked the time.

"We should get back. I've monopolized your entire lunch."

"Oh no it's fine," Eliot said quickly. "This was really nice. Thank you."

"You're quite welcome, Eliot," he smiled, pleased by the younger man's manners. "Let's walk back."

He asked for the bill and paid in cash, leaving the money on the table to walk Eliot out.

"We'll have to do this again. It's nice to step away sometimes."

"It is," Eliot agreed. "And I... really appreciate your offer to help with my flat. It's very generous of you. I can give you the address."

"Text it to me," he said, holding his hand out to take Eliot's phone and put in his information.

Eliot gave him his phone."Thank you," he said quietly.

"Don't worry, Eliot. Don't worry about anything. Focus on becoming the best doctor I've ever seen," Bond said kindly.

"That's quite a tall order," Eliot said. "But I will try my very best."
