Around the time the rest of Q branch was clearing out to catch to Tube and find their way home before the sun set, Bond wandered in to see if Q was ready.

"They've set the implant for Thursday morning," he said. "Unless something comes up."

As he made his announcement, he picked up a new creation to inspect it.

"One day you're going to do that, and I'm going to know you on your back," Q warned, though he was laughing softly.

He struggled a little, boldly grappling a little with the double-o.

James was right, he wasn't thinking about the storm anymore, his whole focus was on the other man.

Bond took hold of him and grinned.

"And what would you do if you had me down?" he purred, then rolled them as a unit so Q wound up on top. "Your worst?"

"Maybe," Q said, smoothing his hands up Bond's chest and flicking his thumbs over the other man's nipples.

Bond settled comfortably and folded his arms above his head. He studied Q, the way he looked so much younger without his glasses in the dim light. The way his hair had gone wild when he'd taken his shirt off and it still stood every direction.

He watched Q admire him and that look in the boffin's eyes cut straight to his heart.

"I'm not sure I'd survive your worst," he smirked.

Q smiled at that, bending low and kissing his way down Bond's chest, tender and sweet as he let himself enjoy the taste of James' skin. "You are stunning," he murmured, running his tongue over an old scar.

His fingertips found Q's knees, then his whole palms smoothed up his thighs. He caught his hips and held on, using the grip to help him rise from the pillow to sit up and meet him.

Almost meet him.

Bond stretched as far as he could to reach.

"Kiss me," he demanded.

"Say please," Q replied. "Say pretty please," he added with a wicked little grin.

He'd asked for Q's worst and was certain this was not it.

"Pretty please, with sugar on top," he grinned playfully.

Q tried to keep a straight face, but it was terribly hard.

"Twat," he scolded, before leaning over and kissing Bond soundly.

Bond laughed warmly, wrapping both arms around him to hug him close.

"I had no idea you were so playful, Q," he smiled, his voice soft and fond. "I imagined all sorts of things you might do for fun, not this. I don't know why."

It never once occurred to him that someone might not imagine James Bond being a laugh in bed given the chance.

"What? You thought I was serious and scolding all the time? I'd be so much more fun at work you know, if you'd bring the bloody equipment back occasionally." Q assured him.

He'd always known James could be fun though, for every snappy reply over coms, there was always a few lighthearted quips or teases.

"Sometimes just getting myself back is as good as it gets," he replied, reaching to pull Q in for another kiss.

"Give me a little incentive," he said. "What can I have in my ear to remind me to bring it back? Hmm? Something inspiring."

He wet his lips and decided to test the waters, not sure how playful Q really was. He was sure of...most...some. He was sure he knew some of Q's tastes.

"And if I don't bring it back, I'll let you really scold me. The way you wish you could. The way I can hear in your voice..."

"I assure you that I already scold you as I intend to," Q replied. "But fine, what sort of reward might tempt you to at least return some of the tech?"

"Q, you'll be in my brain round the clock. Surely you can think of something," he laughed.

Bond didn't have a tell, but for those who knew him, there were little hints at his nerves. The quality of his laugh, the carriage of his shoulders, the hesitation that simply did not exist normally before a breath.

He needed to figure out a way out of this agreement.

Death. So far death was his only solution.

Q studied him for a long moment, then wet his lips with a quick flick of his tongue.

"Bring back at least half the equipment, and I'll blow you in my office. Bring it all back, and I'll let you fuck me in the lift, right outside Mallory's office."

"Now that's incentive I'll believe you don't offer the other Double 0's" he quipped.

"Squeaky wheel and all that," he grinned.

Q rolled his eyes a little. "Just you, Double-O Seven," Q assured him. "I mean, no one else is allowed to shag me in the lift anymore, remember? Your rules. ...Do you make exceptions if you get to watch?" he teased.

For the briefest moment an image of watching Harry behind Q hit him hard and he was both insanely jealous and wildly aroused.

"...Do you have a special attraction to M's lift?" he chuckled.

"No, but you once asked me if I could stop it and block the cameras in there," Q reminded him.

Bond smiled slowly.

"I have no doubt you could control the entirety of the city, given enough time and tea," he said appreciatively. "Would you? If I asked?"

"Start bringing back the equipment, and I'll think about it," Q replied dryly.

Bond didn't agree, but he resolved to do it. If for no other reason than to see the look on Q's face.

"You are a man of a singular focus," he smiled.

"What can I say, I'm tired of building you new guns- And cars, and coms, and watches, and... Need I continue?" Q replied.

"I think it may be in my best interest to obey you," he noted. "I will try, Q. I'll promise that much."

Q had doubts about that, but smiled. It was sweet that James even thought he might.
