Bond was on edge with Hotchner here and had very nearly told Q not to come. But after his time with Leo, he needed his Monday night with the lad.

He waited in his rooms dressed in slacks and a shirt, his tie hanging loosely around his neck. He'd poured himself a scotch, then poured another as he sat facing the door.

And he waited.

The kiss gentled a fraction as Bond let go of his neck and scratched his nails sharply down his back.

"My god, your tongue is sweet," he said softly.

Q didn't know what to say to that, so he didn't speak. Instead he kissed Bond again, softer this time. Slower.

Bond savoured the taste of him, clutching and pulling at him.

"This is dangerous, pet," he whispered, kissing him with genuine care.

Exceptionally dangerous. Q was supposed to be a plaything, not someone he valued. And yet, here he was, kissing him and falling bit by bit for the young man.

"Isn't that the point?" Q asked quietly.

"Not like this," he said and gave in to temptation and cradled Q's face to kiss him.

He kissed him with care and affection, daring to open up that fraction to someone. He didn't know why, but he was certain he could trust Q. The lad had already proven himself, many times.

Q shivered a little, then groaned into the kiss.

His heart fluttered and he felt himself falling just a bit. ...Maybe more than a bit.

"If you want to shut this down, Q...now's the time," Bond said, his voice hushed as he might break the spell if he were too loud.

"I don't want to stop, I don't want to end this. I need it. ...I need you," Q confessed.

Bond grabbed him then, plunging both hands into his hair to kiss him, deep and aching. His fingers curled, pulling his hair and controlling him. He tugged back and moved from Q's mouth to track wet, sucking kisses down his neck.

Q whimpered, then arched closer, practically clawing at Bond, desperate to somehow be even closer than they already were.

"I want you, Q," Bond exhaled. "I want you to be mine. Not a pet. A partner..."

Q's nails were driving him wild. The sharp, bright pain, then scratches he could feel would linger, it shot straight through him. There couldn't possibly be a future in this, but he found he didn't care. He craved Q. Desperately.

Q pulled away, startled and shocked.

"What do you mean?"

Bond stopped and slowly straightened up so he could look at him.

"How much more obvious do you need me to be, Q?"

"Is this some trick to stop me spending time with Harry?" he asked, certain there had to be more to it than desire. James didn't care about him. ...Did he?

Bond looked at him for a long, one, painfully quiet moment. He watched him closely and wondered if he'd misjudged. He'd been so certain Q wanted more...

Q wasn't sure what to make of the silence, but carried on.

"...Because I don't want to be a pet, but I don't wish to be a pawn either. ...I like this. I like you. I like that you know what I need- But I wont be used, and I wont stop seeing Harry," Q said softly.

Bond was quiet another moment, his piercing blue gaze weighing heavy on Q.

"Alright," he finally said. "Not a pawn or a pet. A partner. Who makes demands, apparently."

"Do you not make demands?" Q countered, leaning in and kissing him softly.

"I don't make demands. I give orders," he purred. Bond stole a swift kiss, then pushed Q back.

"But if you're going to be demanding, then we should renegotiate," he said. "Because a partner gets a bit more freedom."

[cuppa_q]

"Oh?" Q asked, not sure he wanted freedom. He liked their arrangement- At least he thought he did.

Bond nodded.

"You can speak more. If you like," he offered as an opening bid.

[cuppa_q]

"And sleep in your bed whenever I want," Q countered. "Not just Monday's."

[0_0_7]

"If I agree to that, are you going to abuse it?" Bond asked, sounding quite stern even though he found himself hoping the answer was yes.

[cuppa_q]

"Probably," Q replied honestly. "The nights are getting cold, my dorm mate refuses to turn on the radiator. ...And I like the way it feels to sleep beside you."

Excuses, excuses, and then sweet words that wormed their way into his small, dark heart.

He sighed as if he was so put upon, then tugged Q closer.

"Alright," he agreed. "Anything else?"
