"I will," he swore. They drove on a bit and Bond checked the GPS again. "How bloody far is this place? We've got to be almost there. Zoom that out and see..."

He hated the countryside in the dark. But thank god for technology. It wasn't all that long ago he would have been relatively blind.

Q let it go on for a while longer, then finally pulled back, letting Bond's cock fall from his lips.

"Tell me what you want. Tell me what your fantasy is," he whispered.

Bond hesitated only briefly, and only because he had to fight to form a clear thought.

"I don't think you'd be interested in my fantasies," he said, though he knew exactly what he wanted. He trusted Q enough to want it, but he wasn't sure he could actually ask.

"Don't make assumptions. Ask," Q prompted, studying Bond curiously.

He hesitated another moment, this time weighing what he thought Q would think of him. If he'd think him weak or simple.

"All right," he said. "I'd like you to tie me down. I trust you enough that...that I think I may enjoy it. And I know if I don't then you'll set me free."

It really all came down to trust. Anyone who knew him knew he trusted no one. Next to no one...because he trusted Q. Trusted him with his life. And now he was asking for something that demanded he trust him with his body.

The very thought made his heart thunder in his chest.

Q hadn't expected that, and he looked visibly shocked for a moment.

"Oh," he replied, considering it for a long moment and wetting his lips.

"I've never taken on a dominant role in the bedroom before- But I'm willing to try, if that's what you want," he agreed.

"I don't know how dominant I want you to be," he said as he pushed himself up onto his elbows. "And you don't have to. I know it's an odd thing to ask. But I'd like...hmm, what would I like? I'd like to be able to feel vulnerable and not have it bite me in the ass. And now might be the only time we could be assured it wouldn't all go wrong. I'd hate to be in that position when there were real risks to doing it..."

"No- it's fine. I'm just surprised. You were so reluctant before- with me, with..."

Q trailed off, trying to put things delicately.

"Sorry, I'm just a bit surprised."

"I like things straightforward," he said. "But I find myself in a very curious position, Q."

He sat up then completely and he reached for Q to pull him close.

"I want to learn what you like. I want to learn what I like with you. It's quite a luxury to be able to be with you. It's quite an honor."

Q let himself be pulled closer, touching Bond lightly- but keeping a small distance between them.

He wondered if this was how Bond had felt when he'd learned what Q liked. If he'd felt lost and baffled by it all.

"It's strange how easily lust cant complicate things," he said softly.

"It is. It truly is," he replied. Bond caressed Q and searched to meet his eyes. "It makes me dizzy. Don't underestimate how much I want you, Q. And the more I have of you, the more I want. I want all of you. Your body. Your thoughts. Your truth."

Though even as he said he wanted that, he only let the words hang there. He wasn't about to press Q for anything more than he was willing to give.

It was a lot to process, and Q nodded as he fell silent.

His erection had wilted somewhat, and eventually he cleared his throat and spoke.

"Why don't we have breakfast?" he suggested softly. "The bed will still be here when we're full.

Frost formed at the edges of Bond's open emotions, making him draw back into himself a bit. He'd never forgiven himself for opening up to Vesper the way he had, leaving himself utterly vulnerable and so easily manipulated and hurt by her. For the longest time he'd closed off entirely to the point that it was instinct to protect himself.

Like now.

"Of course," he agreed, his tone just a fraction brittle. "I'll make some tea." And then he untangled himself and pulled away so he could get up and get away.

Reaching out, Q caught his arm, holding tightly.

"Stop," he said, using the same tone he used when he spoke in the double-o's ear. "I am not pushing you away- don't push me away. Do not close off. I'm sorry if I'm upsetting you, that isn't my intention. You have to understand- I'm not used to this. Any of it. No one has ever offered me power like that- and I'm touched- But I'm also not sure I can be that for you. I'm not certain I can tie you down and do delightfully naughty things. ....I do hope I can eventually, because I would be honoured to have you trust me so completely. ...But I still feel so very small in the bedroom, Bond. I take off my clothes, and I'm a child again. Hopless, helpless, and lost. ...And it's unfair to you. You didn't sign up for that."

The tone stopped him in his tracks and he was on instant alert. So tuned into Q's voice that he was willing to follow what he said with almost no question.

And so when Q made his confession, Bond heard him. He honestly listened.

"I didn't sign up for anything," he said quietly. "I fell in love with you. As you are. We're both terribly damaged goods, I imagine. You haven't hardly set foot into the minefield that resides in me."

He turned and sat back down on the bed, slipping his arm around Q to pull him close.

"I have other fantasies as well. I'm afraid you'll find them all terribly simple. I want to enjoy you. I want to make you come. I want to love you as well as I can every moment I can until..."

Until. Double-o's had a notoriously short life span and Bond had already outlived all expectations. It really was just a matter of time.

"...Every moment I can."

Q nodded, and this time when Bond pulled him close, he didn't resist.

"I want that as well," he said softly. "nd I intend to selfishly keep you alive for as long as humanly possible."

Bond caught Q's face and tipped it up so he could look into his eyes for a moment. He searched for truth and found it. His own eyes closed then and he kissed Q, soft and slow and tender. His tongue flicked lightly then he sucked the man's bottom lip gently.

"Breakfast, then," he whispered. "I'll make the tea."

But he didn't let go. Not immediately.

"Breakfast, yes," Q parroted, sounding breathless and looking flushed.

"You do terrible things to me. It's dangerous," he accused with a soft growl.

"I'm not unaffected, you know. Whatever I do to you, you do to me as well," he said, daring to sneak in and kiss the curve of Q's neck before he let go so he could get up. If he didn't then he'd never let the man out of bed.

The kiss prompted a small smile, and Q almost blushed before getting to his feet and heading to the kitchen.

Bond got up and his first trip was to the toilet. He was in there for longer than one might expect and when he emerged he had shaven. He wasn't about to be rough when he had Q's fine, silken skin to taste.

He came to the kitchen and turned on the kettle, then eased in behind Q. He did his best to not be a nuisance. His face was soft and he smelled masculine and of his lather that hinted at virility and power.

"Sorry for the lag," he murmured.

Leaning back against him, Q smiled faintly and hummed.

"Toast and eggs for breakfast," he said, sliding the eggs around the pan to make sure they didn't stick, then turning and leaning in to kiss Bond's freshly shaved jaw.

"Delicious," Bond said. "I like mine runny...if you can do that."

He had, in all his years, broken the yolk more often than not when he'd cooked for himself. He tried to be delicate and patient, aware of how fragile eggs were. He was just far too blunt most of the time.

"I can," Q nodded, kissing him again. "Go sit, I'll bring it through when it's ready."

It was as if it hurt him to tear away. Bond lunged for just one more kiss before moving back. He fetched cups and set about making the tea since the electric kettle was nearly done. He gott the bags to steeping, then he obeyed Q and sat down.

"I meant it...a bit ago. When I said I want to know you. I'll not press, but I'm desperately curious about you. Anything you tell me about your past- your life- I'll treasure."

"I honestly wouldn't even know where to start," Q confessed, plating their food and carrying it over to the table.
